Sister Mary Maria is an old school style nun from the Sisters of Mary order. She has dedicated her life to God and helping others. Her special mission is helping educating the young Homies at Virgen de Guadalupe Elementary School. It is a Catholic school and she is Principal, and Vice Principal there. She also teaches all the religion classes for every grade. She carries around a yardstick which she finds very persuasive and helpful in making bad little Homies behave. She is a strict disciplinarian, and doesn't allow graffiti tagging, smoking, swearing, or gang fighting or carrying weapons in her classroom. These things are a no-no, and will get your nuckles swatted. Every kid that graduates from her 8th grade class goes on to do well in high school, and she is very proud of that. They may not appreciate her strict ways at the time...but always remain greatful in their later years, for her keeping them on the straight path in school. They also remember her teaching them that the Virgin Mary is always there for them, if they just to turn to her... and ask for her grace.
